The restaurant sits beside a lovely garden and little pond. Service was very good, breakfast was good too, and I enjoyed the food there. There’s a small supermarket across the street, a larger one about an 8-minute walk away, some nice cafés within 5-10 minutes on foot, and plenty of spas and massage places nearby. I spent almost five weeks here for yoga teacher training and was satisfied overall. It’s a 5 to 10 minute scooter ride from busy Ubud Center, while the rooms and pools at the back are quiet. The grounds are beautiful, especially the pool area, garden, rice fields, and little path at the back. Service was very good and I felt welcome. The rooms could use a little TLC. My first night was in a damp, mouldy room. I changed rooms because of the training, and room Nr. 5 was beautiful and spacious, but initially smelled damp too. A dehumidifier improved things a lot, and I got used to it. Bali’s humidity affects rooms, of course. I heard some people had perfectly fine rooms and others had ants or similar issues. I’d say that’s normal for this climate and country. I’d recommend the place, and if your room isn’t right, ask to move.

The staff were kind and helpful, and it’s about a 20-minute walk to central Ubud. We stayed on the ground floor in a room with an outdoor bathroom. Bugs or caterpillars sometimes got in, but it didn’t bother me much since there was bug spray and the room was cleaned daily. It’s a huge resort, so I’d suggest having a look around. The room was comfortable, and I’d stay here again.

We looked at five other places before choosing this one for three nights, and didn’t regret it. It’s very peaceful, with birds chirping around the resort and a real tropical feel. When booking, check whether the bathroom is open to the sky. That might sound romantic, but Ubud has lots of rice fields, and mosquitoes breed there.

The room was huge and had a balcony view. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place, with an awesome swimming pool. The food was not bad, and the staff were amazing. Thank you for the service.
