Airy Syariah Sunan Bonang 16 Magelang

A nice place.

The location is handy, right in the city center across from Akmil Magelang. Go down the alley and keep going until MAN 1 Magelang, then Airy Sunan Bonang 16 is a little farther along on the right. I booked a superior room but got a bed that seemed like a single, with another bed underneath. The AC was fine, but the TV plug was bent and caused problems. There were no towels, just toiletries, and the hot water didn't work, so I had cold showers every day. Cleanliness was decent and the staff were friendly. Parking gets pretty tight when there are lots of cars.

The staff were awful. Whenever we raised a problem, they dug in and blamed the customer, even while speaking softly. When we reported that the hot water was off, they spent almost an hour trying to fix it. We asked to change rooms, but they said everything was full. We checked the app and saw rooms still available, but they just said they couldn't or wouldn't sort it out. So frustrating. What a joke about Sharia law!

This inn was terrible. The booking clearly said we wanted hot water, but it was off even though the weather was cold. When we complained, staff spent minutes trying to fix it and kept going in and out of the room, leaving us without privacy.
