Lopi Hotel

The location is handy, next to big malls, with plenty of restaurants you can order from online. There’s also a fairly spacious parking lot with a roof. The industrial minimalist design looks good and is very Instagramable. I’ll split my comments between the cafe and the hotel. At the cafe, the wooden chairs, industrial style and Ikea stuff work well together, and the staff are fairly responsive. But the toilet floor was wet and damp. They’d watered it, and should have dried it instead of leaving it that way. For the hotel, the room looked promising for a budget stay. The bedsheets were clean enough, and the amenities were okay: tissue, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste. The reception was just okay. One guy there gave us no greeting, seemed reluctant to help, and kept asking about our itinerary, which made us uncomfortable. The hijab-wearing woman who took over was the complete opposite. The bathroom door was awful, with sound and smells coming through from inside. It was way too ventilated. The room door was thin too, so I could hear any noise from outside. Breakfast was just okay. The nasi goreng was too oily, and they left a broken bread toaster on the table instead of putting it away.

Nice atmosphere and aesthetic design. There were two power cuts during my stay, though the building outside still had power, so maybe only our building was affected. There was no painting in the room. Had they taken it down? The parking lot looked like it could fit only six cars, maybe.

I went to the coffee shop here. It’s not the best, but the food and drinks are good quality. You could try the fried platter or salted egg tofu.

The food is good, the coffee is great, and the Wi-Fi works properly.
