Pondok Jaschint Hotel

A good hotel in Makassar, with nice rooms and a good breakfast menu. The hot water needs fixing, though. It was too hot for us, and we had the same problem in both rooms.

The short stay was the only downside. I was in Makassar for a one-night business trip and came on a staff member's recommendation. The staff were welcoming, the facilities were clean, and the lobby was especially spacious. Nice hotel~~~

The lobby is big, the employees are kind, and the tea tasted good. The room furniture was pretty standard. Breakfast had lots of options, but the quality wasn't good, and I didn't like the Thai tea. At checkout they charged me 100k to launder a towel with a tea stain. I'd used the second towel as a bathroom mat because the one they provided was tiny and VERY DIRTY, like a doormat left outside for two years. They weren't professional and didn't offer any solution. Update: Hotel management called about the negative points and said they'd share improvements. I really appreciate the follow-up. I'll update my review once they send proof of the improvements.

The bathroom was nice, with a shower that had hot and cold water, and the Wi-Fi was fast. There aren't any free snacks or food, so you'll need to order something. That's easy enough with Grab or Gojek, since there are lots of restaurants nearby.
