The hotel is in a good spot in the city, but the surroundings don’t feel cramped, and there’s a decent-sized parking lot. The room was clean, simply furnished, and had a comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast had a good selection and tasted good. Good value for the money.

It was easy to get to, but there was no sign showing where motorcycles should park, which could confuse riders. On the second floor, the ladies’ restroom area had water all over the floor, and the restroom I used had no tissue. Management needs to do a better job maintaining and cleaning the facilities.

They call it a four-star hotel, but it didn’t feel like one. The AC was broken, so the room was really cool. Breakfast was ordinary, nothing special, and the pool smelled strongly of “kaporit”.

Singgasana feels like a 90s hotel, with old bathtubs that most places don’t have anymore. The room was good, and the food was good too. The lights are dim, so this might suit you if that’s what you like in Makassar. The second-floor meeting room was okay, though its aircon was really cold. I stayed three nights in September 2019.

The atmosphere was calm, the price felt right, and the service was good. Breakfast was very good, especially the chicken porridge, and the food here is delicious. I’m in room 1107. Perfect for SINGGASANA.
