W Three Style Hotel Makassar

For my first iftar reservation, I couldn't choose the food when booking, and when the day came, there was only rice and three broth-cooked sides: meatballs, tofu, and fish. Hahaha, all I ended up eating was rice with broth.

The hotel itself is nice, which makes my experience with the staff all the more disappointing. When I checked out at 11 PM after booking on May 10, 2026, no receptionist was in the lobby. They were smoking outside, which seemed safe, but when I called, the cigarettes were inside the lobby. Smoke was still drifting around as they checked out, and it smelled bad. There were also many security guards by their cars, with coffee cups sitting on top. I asked them to move the coffee, and they did, but then made unpleasant gestures and called out “ouch, ouch” and, loudly, “komaraaaa.” I was already heading to my car and felt they were treating me badly. It's a shame the staff left me with such a poor impression of a nice hotel.

The room was comfortable and clean during my three-night stay. I often got back late after being out, and whenever I needed help, the staff responded quickly. The receptionist and security team were very friendly too.

The breakfast was bland and not very tasty, and the checkout charge was even more frustrating. We had been told late checkout would cost 100 thousand until 2 pm or 250 thousand until 5 pm. But when we left at 3 pm, they suddenly charged 320 thousand. They also said we had to pay because of three dirty marks on the wall. I accepted the first one, but the second and third looked to me like dirt from an old wall. They just took a photo. Why should I pay for your dirty room? It's ridiculous. Don't stay here if you don't want to come home with high blood pressure.
