Buring Homestay

The location is handy, with some restaurants and cafes within walking distance. I booked a superior room and got one on the second floor. It was spacious and the bed was comfortable, but there was no view. The price isn’t cheap compared with a similar kind of hotel. I found a coffee stain in the cup, and the bathroom smelled a bit. I’m not sure if the exhaust fan wasn’t working or if it was the drainage. The bath towels didn’t absorb water well either.

It was suffocating to stay for three days. The hotel is small, with only a few rooms, but there are seven smoking areas: on the first and second floors, and outside every room. We were told it was a non-smoking hotel with non-smoking rooms, yet our room smelled of smoke all day. The manager was arrogant and didn’t offer us any solution. Don’t trust what you see in the photos.

It’s a good place, but I hope they’ll pay more attention to the sign. The homestay is known by only a few people right now, and the sign is too small.

The room was bigger than I expected, larger than one at a three-star hotel.
