The Javanese decorations made this place feel unique, warm, and a little mystical. I was only here in transit, but had an amazing experience. The staff were kind and friendly. Cleanliness could be better, though. I still highly recommend staying here.

The room was comfortable, and the staff were great and helpful. There’s also a bit of a horror movie feel, set between Balinese and Javanese traditional styles.

The front desk staff were very helpful arranging transport to Bromo, and breakfast was okay for a guest house like this. It’s easy to get to street food and the local market, and the Soto Lamongan across the street on Jalan Sawo Jajar is worth trying. The Javanese vintage decor runs from the entrance and reception through to the fully furnished room, giving the place a lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff, and I had an enjoyable, satisfying stay in Malang.

This is a cute little guesthouse with a Javanese feel and easy access to things. The traffic noise is very loud and comes right into the rooms, though, so it’s hard to sleep properly.
