The Valley Guest House feels genuinely homey and peaceful, with a bit of luxury too. I'd recommend it for a family stay in Malang, especially if you're heading to the beaches and want to be closer to the south, or if you're simply after a quiet place. There are two bedrooms: a master with a queen bed and another with bunk beds for two. Each bedroom has a smart TV, and there's also one in the living room. The kitchen and dining area come with the furniture and utensils. Wi-Fi and electricity are included in the rental price. The owner is straightforward and quick to respond. The guest house is in a luxury housing complex, where there's also an Indomaret for shopping.

This two-bedroom house worked really well for a family stay, and it has plenty of things for cooking: a water dispenser, electric oven, rice cooker, two electric pots, fridge, glasses, bowls, plates, cutlery, a blue gas stove with an LPG cylinder, two Teflon pans, and a sink. You can cook here, and if you need groceries, you can shop downstairs or outside the complex. A seller with fresh vegetables and fish is 50 meters away. The bathroom smelled nice, the water pressure was strong, and there was a water heater, a clothesline, and four towels. The design is nice too. There's an Android TV in the front room, but it was hard to watch anything because it couldn't be used for much beyond YouTube. The 5G Wi-Fi was a bit intermittent because the signal wasn't good. A standalone set-top box for digital TV would help, and the front window could use double curtains, one sheer white layer, plus a proper living room light instead of just a night light. The complex is quiet and upscale, though the road feels like you're climbing a mountain. There are playgrounds for adults and children around the complex, and a swimming pool if you go farther up. I'd stay here again.
