The location was handy, near university campuses in Malang and plenty of food options, though expect heavy traffic at the Sigura-gura intersection. My chance of returning is 38%. I arrived 30 minutes early, but couldn't check in ahead of time without paying extra, so I left my bag at reception and went to lunch. When I came back around 2pm, they gave me Room 107 on the 1st floor. The key card wouldn't open the door, so staff gave me a regular key. The room felt small and cramped. Even with the light on, the bathroom was almost dark, and its ceiling had a small hole that leaked the whole time I was there. The pillow smelled as if it had been used for weeks. I asked staff to check it themselves and replace it, but they said there were no pillows left, so they only changed the cover.

The room wasn't the one I booked. The photos showed a double bed, but when I checked in I was given a room with a single bed and a very small sink. The bed was filthy and stinky. The sheets, linens, and pillows had stains all over them, and it seemed crawling with critters and germs. I believe the sheets weren't washed or changed between guests. They'd only made the bed and put out fresh towels. The room was dirty, and I found the bedding disgusting. If you just want somewhere cheap, it may be enough. If you care about cleanliness, I wouldn't stay here.
