The rooftop was a nice place to watch the sunset, and my room had a pleasant terrace along with a TV and AC. It was tidy, too. Staff were friendly, spoke English, and suggested good places to see in Manado. They even picked me up at the airport for a reasonable fee. The building is bright and tall, with a clear sign that made it easy to spot. A good option for budget travelers looking for quality. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it.
The room was clean, roomy, and cozy, and the staff were relaxed and really friendly. They treated me like family. The manager knows Manado well and gave me great ideas for where to go and what to do. I had a great stay and hope to come back soon.
The rooftop has a nice view from its spot on a hill in the middle of the city. My room was pretty ordinary, though it did have hot water for showers and, in the deluxe room, a private terrace. The internet was very slow and kept going out.
The balconies on the third floor had different views: from the back, you could see the mountains and cliffs, while the front balcony looked straight out to the ocean in the daytime. We booked three rooms for six people and a small child through tiket.com after seeing good reviews. The receptionist got us checked in right away, and the staff were kind and helped carry our bags upstairs. The rooms differed in size but were clean, with towels, TV, and internet. My room still smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, as if smokers had used it. I was also uncomfortable that my ID card was kept at check-in. As a newcomer, I depend on that important travel document, and I think taking a deposit would be better. The service from the receptionist and most staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was limited, though. We came back around 11-12 at night to find the lot full and motorcycles parked carelessly. I asked the guard to move one, but he ignored me and kept playing games. We squeezed into the remaining space, but my car had scratches the next day. The night guard was the only staff member who wasn’t cooperative.
The rooms were neat, the balcony had a view, and OYO's service was excellent. There was even aromatherapy. My experience with RedDoorz was the opposite: I booked and paid, but when I arrived the hotel was closed or no longer operating, and I lost 160,000 Rupiah. Just sharing what happened to me today. If RedDoorz could follow OYO's example and let guests pay directly, it would be less worrying and easier for them.
