OYO 770 De Nearby Hotel

There’s no elevator, just stairs, though the stairways and corridors are wider than in many other hotels, which makes the place feel roomy. The room itself is large, with a comfortable bed, a big TV and clear channels, and a spacious shower room. The front of the hotel needs more consistent cleaning, since there’s a lot of trash that should be picked up. My phone signal also came and went inside the room.

The location was okay, and most of the staff were nice. The price was very low, but I still didn’t feel it was good value. The room was dirty, with hair on the floor. The booking details mentioned toilet paper and toiletries, but there weren’t any. I also had to ask for towels and eventually got just one, despite being in a double room.

If you like jogging, this is a handy place to stay, with the beach nearby for a run in the morning or afternoon. The property is in the Bahu Mall Complex in Manado, but there’s a charge of IDR 3k to enter and leave the complex, which is a bit annoying. The accommodation is standard budget fare at around USD 15 per night. Everything in my room worked, it was fairly clean, and the internet was quite fast.

It’s near the beach, so you can catch it in the morning or at sunset. The price is cheap and the bed is comfortable. You get most of the facilities you’d find in a big hotel, apart from a pool, bathtub, and breakfast.
