Rogers Hotel Manado

The view of Manado from the breakfast area was beautiful, and there was a wide choice of food. We had a pleasant stay, with exceptionally friendly, helpful staff. They had no problem with an early check-in, and we could book a massage for the same day. Our room was clean, nicely furnished, and well equipped, with an air conditioner that worked perfectly and even smelled nice. We'd recommend this hotel.

The bathroom problems made this repeat stay at Roger's Hotel Manado disappointing. The shower had weak pressure and no hot water; even after a technician came, it stayed lukewarm and the pressure was still low. Turning on the sink tap stopped the shower completely. The bathroom floor also still had soap residue from the previous guest. I’d asked for a higher floor on my last stay and was put on the 4th floor. This time I made the same request in the booking notes, but got the 4th floor again. It was noisy, with lots of guests and hallway conversations clearly audible in the room. When I asked to move, the only room offered had twin beds, though I’d booked a double. I stayed here on May 24, 2025. I hope the hotel pays closer attention to requests, cleanliness, and bathroom maintenance.

The restaurant took 1 hour and 15 minutes to bring our food, and the dishes arrived nearly 20 minutes apart. I ended up eating by myself while everyone else waited. The food wasn’t good, either. They should train staff on western recipes or stick to Indonesian food. At breakfast, servers were on their phones and paid little attention to guests. We spent two nights in two rooms and had to ask for towels three times. They were either missing or taken away and not returned, and delivery to the rooms took a long time. The first room smelled strongly of urine, apparently because of plumbing problems next door, and nobody had checked our room. Thankfully, the receptionist moved us.

The rooftop was good. The room was good too, though the service was just general.
