We came for the surf, but the hosts at SSL made the stay so much more. Dave, Fadlan, and the rest of the staff helped us get our bearings and made sure we had what we needed. The place has a peaceful feel, with just enough socialising, which is ideal for surfers looking to relax. There are lots of breaks a short scooter ride away, and the variety and proximity make this one of the best locations on Simeulue. Dylan's Right is only 150m away, and Dylan's Left is about 30 seconds by scooter. Our spacious rooms had comfortable beds and great ocean views. This place is unreal.

Dylan’s Right is walkable, and several other great surf breaks are just a short ride away. The location is really convenient for surfers, with plenty of comfort and good vibes. The staff at Simeulue Surflodge were welcoming and helpful the whole time, and the food was delicious, fresh, varied, and different each day. I’d definitely come back.

We spent three weeks there in April, and it was definitely a great choice. The crew were kind, and Simeulue surf lodge has a perfect ocean view. Dylan's right wave is close enough to see and walk to. The food was really good, and they had everything we needed, from scooters and snorkeling gear for swimming with turtles to laundry.

Power cuts and less reliable internet than promised caused a few tricky moments. Still, I could see the staff doing their best with the circumstances, and their effort and attitude made the stay worthwhile. The team at Simeulue Surflodges were amazing, so friendly and attentive, and always trying to keep guests comfortable. The food was excellent too, one of the highlights of my stay.

The location puts you right between Dillans Right and Dillans Left, with world class waves just steps from the door. Getting up, grabbing a board, and paddling out into perfect conditions was an experience like no other. From the moment we arrived, the team at Simeulue Surflodges made us feel at home. They were warm, professional, and incredibly hospitable, always ready to organize activities, share local tips, or have a laugh after a good session. With the people, surroundings, and team all so great, I can’t wait to come back for another unforgettable surf trip.
