Breeze Coffee is a nice draw here. The barista knows coffee, makes good recommendations, and serves a good local blend. There are simple local foods too, like roti bakar /japple and angkringan-style dishes, though the taste is just okay. Community groups and entrepreneurs come by for meetings or coffee. The rooms are clean enough, the owner and staff are humble and welcoming, and there's a huge parking area. This Mataram homestay is easy to spot from the main road, backpacker-friendly, and has 15 rooms at affordable prices. A good budget pick when visiting Lombok.

There's a cafe in the guesthouse grounds that stays open at night, and campus students often hang out there, so it's easy to mingle. Booking online was cheaper for me, though people who book after arriving get a discount on motorbike rentals.

Breakfast came every morning at 7, sometimes toast and sometimes Nasi Kuning, with tea or milk. The shower pressure was weak for me, though they provide a bucket and scoop. On the first day the drain was blocked, but they fixed it straight away. I stayed four nights; the place was clean and the people were really kind. It would be perfect with Wi-Fi.

The owners and staff are friendly and helpful, and they'll do their best to make your stay comfortable. You can order food and drinks from the cafe, and ask for the free Wi-Fi password if you want to get online. There's a cafe on site and spacious parking. Rooms are plentiful and cost 120K a night. Around 500m away is Rembiga morning market, and there's local food by the Rembiga intersection, including rumah makan padang, sate rembige restaurants, and dakota with traditional Rembiga food. Plenty of warungs are also near Lapangan Rembiga. Rent a motorbike from Guest House Rumah Lombok to explore easily. It's on the Damri Airport-Senggigi route in Rembiga, with Mayura, Pura Miru, Pasar Cakra, Pasar Bertais, Lingsar Temple, Ampenan Beach, and Narmada all a few kilometers away. I recommend it for visitors to Mataram.
