Hotel O Unram Guest House

The place was totally empty when my taxi dropped me off after an Agoda booking. No one around, just a really creepy place. Don't book it if you find it online!!!

Don't let the low app price fool you. I booked through tra****ka three days ahead for Rp 78,000, but when I got there at 12:30 AM I waited ages. The app payment was refunded because they said they no longer worked with the online service, and payment had to go to the receptionist in person. They offered me a standard room for Rp 200,000, with a shared bathroom, and it looked scary, so I left to find another hotel. The price wasn't worth it. Read other guests' accounts of being left out of pocket and book somewhere else. If the hotel no longer works with booking apps, it should close its account there. Too many people seem to be getting caught out.

There was a notice at reception saying the hotel wouldn't accept OYO guests and telling me to ask OYO for a refund. I'd already confirmed and paid through the app, though, and when I reached the hotel around 7 p.m., it was closed and the receptionist was gone. It was late, I'd traveled all that way, and I had to find another place to stay. This caused me a lot of trouble. Why not ask OYO to stop advertising the hotel?

I almost gave up after being sent to a student dormitory that wasn't open to the public. I'd booked on the Tri* app and followed its map around 9 PM to what looked like an empty public building near the Damri airport bus office. A security guard sent me to a counter farther inside, where several young men pointed to a sign in English and Indonesian saying they weren't affiliated with any app. A man at reception kindly offered me a free ojek ride to a nearby N homestay. At the N hotel, someone said this happened often, and that people complained but didn't get refunds, so they gave up. I tried the app's chat anyway. A Japanese representative replied quickly, let me cancel without a fee, refunded the difference for my alternative accommodation, and gave me app coins worth the original price as an apology. Amazing! The photos look ordinary and the price is low, which seems to draw people in. Please be careful. I expect the listing will be removed from the app soon, but since this was my first time dealing with it, I wanted to share what happened.
