There are plenty of rooms here, and the staff are friendly. The pool is big and very clean. If you're staying in Mataram on Lombok, I think this hotel is the best for the price. For a last-minute booking, Agoda was much cheaper: the hotel quoted 750k, about $42, for one night, while I paid 400k, around $23, through Agoda.

Right in the heart of Mataram, Lombok Raya Hotel made it easy to get around and see local attractions. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the friendly, attentive service helped make the stay pleasant. It’s also good value, with everything I needed.

There are lots of rooms, a pretty garden, and a swimming pool. Mine was on the 3rd floor and had plenty of space, plus a mini safe, mini cooler, TV, electric kettle, and even an umbrella. The location is about 45 minutes from the airport. The bathroom was fairly clean, though a little dusty, and the liquid soap was almost gone. Maybe the room wasn’t checked often because there weren’t many guests. Still, it was okay overall.

We left at 7am without breakfast because we couldn't take staying in a room next to that ridiculous early morning event. I understand this is a big hotel and MICE events happen, but letting a large group make loud noise with a massive sound system and microphone, without warning guests, was completely unacceptable. We paid to stay there too.
