Airy Medan Selayang Abdul Hakim Gang Cengkeh 20

I'd recommend it for a one-day stay.

It's not bad.

Really comfortable and cheap!

I checked in on June 29, 2019, the day I'm writing this, at Airy Medan Selayang Abdul Hakim Gang Cengkeh No.20. At first things seemed okay. The receptionist was friendly and gave me information, but as soon as I saw the room I regretted booking here. I was assigned room 108, marked with the letter H. The bathroom smelled awful. The floor wasn't clean, and there were yellow spots behind the toilet under the shower faucet. I guessed they came from water dripping there over time and being left that way by the hotel manager. The toilet water was yellow, like urine or septic tank water, sorry, but I have to be honest. The drain smelled fishy too. I couldn't stand it and shut the bathroom door, propping it open with the trash can. That also stank. When I checked, there were drops of water inside from rubbish that had been thrown away earlier, which seemed to be causing the smell. Between the bathroom and bin, the odor made me short of breath and I had to wear a mask. As the night went on, the smell spread into the bedroom because the bathroom wall didn't reach the ceiling, leaving an opening above it. Room 108-H was very small, so the odor filled the whole space. I was uncomfortable until midnight. I didn't complain to the innkeeper because I didn't want to make a fuss and I was only staying one night before going home the next day. Then something fell on my foot in the middle of the night. I thought it was a gecko, but it was a large cockroach. I screamed, and it flew to the cupboard and slipped inside the one next to the wall. I managed to record it and get a picture. The bathroom smell was already keeping me awake, and now there was a cockroach too. I'm sure it came through the bathroom drain, then flew through the gap above the wall. It flew back toward the room door and wall, then jumped beside the bed. With nowhere much to move in that small room, I jumped to the corner of the bed. I hit it with a small Airy room bat, and it ran under the bed. I'm really disappointed with the facilities in room 108-H at Airy Medan Selayang Abdul Hakim Gang Cengkeh No.20, aka Airy Nagitos. Very not recommended! If I hadn't had to go home the next day after one night, I would've checked out as soon as I arrived. I don't know if the other rooms are like this, though I noticed other guests hadn't complained. Also, this inn doesn't prohibit unmarried couples from staying together. When I contacted the hotel staff, they said it was no problem because the accommodation isn't Airy Syariah. Airy Medan Selayang Abdul Hakim Gang Cengkeh No.20 is extremely unsuitable as accommodation in the Airy Room class!
