Prime Plaza Kualanamu

I had a big, lovely room on the 9th floor with great views, and the hotel was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, and as a woman traveling alone I felt very safe. It's about 10 minutes from the airport, convenient but still quiet, with no planes audible from my room. There's also a restaurant, outdoor pool, and gym. The restaurant accommodated my plant-based diet: I had delicious Gado-Gado without the egg. The gym has a treadmill, rowing machine, dumbbells, stability ball, and functional trainer. I spent two hours there and had the whole place to myself. I definitely recommend this hotel!

We arrived hungry and exhausted, then had to wait at reception for two hours. They also wanted to charge us a price completely different from the one on Google. The staff and manager were unprofessional, ignored us, and seemed clueless. I'd strongly advise finding another hotel to avoid a horrible experience and incompetent service.

The room was a delight, and the hotel was extremely clean, with a good restaurant, great breakfast, and a pool. It's very close to Medan airport, and there's a free shuttle. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. A superb find, I'll stay here again if I return to Sumatra. I'm a female traveler and totally recommend it.

It's conveniently located for the Airport. Email exchanges were always very good and kind, but the service on the ground wasn't very friendly. I had no hot water in the shower. As a Westerner, and especially as a woman traveling alone, I'd choose a different hotel.
