The rooms are good, the pool is nice, and the food and staff are both good. The beach was a little dirty. Feels more like a handy stop between Java and Bali than somewhere to make a destination on its own.

We spent our wedding anniversary at Melaya Beach Resort, and the staff were always ready to help with anything we asked. Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a lovely beach view, and the bathroom was clean and well kept too. The beach has clear water and soft black sand, and there's a lovely pool right beside it. We enjoyed the varied, delicious food, especially dinner, and the restaurant staff were attentive and friendly. My husband and I had a wonderful stay. I'd recommend it for a relaxing holiday.

The included breakfast was just two pieces of toast with a fried egg. Some dishes, like the chicken CB, seemed to be frozen, while Coke and hot tea were reasonably priced. Restaurant meals were rather expensive for the small portions. It's a quiet spot by the beach with a regularly cleaned pool. The room aircon wasn't cold, the sheets were dirty, and the water heater didn't hold much. With only three chalets, you could question whether it's really a resort.

We got in late and left early, so we missed out on the pool, but we did enjoy a morning walk along the beach. This stretch was pretty clean. We had dinner and breakfast there too, both enjoyable and reasonably priced, and liked the company of their two dogs. They just lay by our feet while we ate, in case anything was dropped. It's a good place to stop when heading to or from Bali. The rooms and bathrooms are large and right by the beach, and the friendly staff made us feel at home. We'd stay here again while passing through.
