The family living in the compound are warm and welcoming, and the staff are sweet and helpful too. The rooms have been renovated in the past two years, so they feel new. The amenities work as described: hot water, AC, a working kitchen, internet that can be a bit choppy, though the issue usually affects the whole area, and a pool that feels private because other guests rarely use it. It’s peaceful and green, almost like Nyepi every day. The location is a useful distance from the city center, away from traffic and noise but still near the banks and supermarket. There are dogs and cats on site, but they don’t bother guests. The little restaurant has closed, though a few restaurants and cafes are within walking distance. A great option for a long stay.

Wayan and Putu were so friendly that I felt like part of the family. The guest house has a beautiful tradicional Balinese style and sits among rice fields. It’s close to Ubud centre but away from the noisy, busy area. The bed was big and comfortable, and the shower was good.

We stayed five nights among the rice fields and felt at home. The room was cleaned every day, and we really enjoyed the breakfast. The family are friendly and kind, and helped us with everything they could. A very nice place to stay.

The owner’s family were the best part, such lovely people and always ready to help. The rooms are high quality, and the terrace has wonderful views. It’s excellent accommodation surrounded by rice fields.

My worst stay in all of Indonesia. The owner was rude and made a racist comment about me. The AC wasn’t cooling the room, and with no fan it became extremely stuffy. I raised it once when checking in and again that night. He wouldn’t accept there was a problem or offer a solution, and told me to look for somewhere else. It was around 10 pm, with rain outside. I decided to stay the night anyway and told him so, but he said I had to leave or “promise” not to complain again. Asking a solo woman traveler to leave in the middle of the night in the rain while demanding money isn’t a proper way to handle a problem. He just needed to be kind and understand what was wrong.
