Umayuri Inn

From the top floor we had an amazing view, and could spot monkeys without even going into Monkey Forest. The place is close to Ubud’s main street but away from the traffic and noise, with a laundry service right next door. The host was lovely and offered a generous breakfast selection. Our room and bathroom were very clean. I’d come back here if I stayed in Ubud again. The water came in the smallest bottles we saw at hotels across Bali, so bigger ones would be better. Also, light came into the room from every side, and I had to wear a sleep mask. Blackout curtains would help.

We had breakfast made by the owners each morning, with enough choices, and they were very friendly. They also helped arrange a driver for trips around Ubud. Our room was cleaned daily and the towels were changed. For the accommodation, its location, and being near restaurants and the center, it was very good value. The room was large, clean, and looked onto the owner’s well-kept garden and a small rice field. We also saw a monkey at a nearby hotel. The bathroom cleaning could be better, particularly around the toilet. With all the vegetation around the villa, we could hear living creatures in the morning even with the door closed.

The owner was especially kind and made sure we were comfortable. Breakfast was included, simple but tasty, and the room was clean and tidy with no bugs. The price was reasonable for such a good stay. It’s near Monkey Forest, with lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and massage places within walking distance, though the main street is about 15 minutes away.

We were there for two nights and three days, and the stay was wonderful. The inn is in Ubud city, which made it easy to get to attractions. The rooms were very clean, and the staff were friendly. Quiet, effective air conditioning kept us comfortable, and breakfast was delicious.
