Eja Guest House

We didn’t stay at EJA Guesthouse, but I wanted to thank the owner. Our motorbike broke down in Bajawa, so we had to cancel our booking, which we’d already paid for. I called EJA’s owner, and he kindly gave us a full refund. What a kind man. We hope your new guest house does well, and thank you for your kindness. We’ll spread the good karma! James & Evie

We hired Alex’s scooter to get around the area, which made things much easier, including our ride up to Kelimutu for sunrise. He and his wife were incredibly accommodating, and he helped us set up a local SIM. There’s no Wi-Fi, which I knew when I booked. Breakfast pancakes and fruit were delicious. One evening we sat chatting with Alex and learned about his background and ambitions. He’s a lovely, intelligent man. The photo shows the view from our room’s terrace while I was relaxing there. Wishing them the best of luck with the business.

Please be cautious. The room was absolutely disgusting, filthy, and covered in black mold. We were concerned about our health. I wish the reviews had warned us, because they seemed unbelievably misleading.
