Amaris Hotel Muara Bungo - Jambi

The pool was a nice size for the kids, and breakfast had several good options, especially for a 2-star hotel. Our family room connected to another smart room and had plenty of space, a large bed, and nice bedding. The bathroom was clean and roomy, with working hot water, and the air conditioning was fine. The Android TV lagged a little but still worked. We only booked for transit, but it turned into a wonderful staycation. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you, Amaris Muara Bungo.

We found the city-center location handy, with local attractions, markets, and the airport easy to reach. The staff were welcoming, and the rooms were clean and had practical basics like air conditioning and Wi-Fi. There’s an indoor pool and family-friendly facilities too. It felt pleasant and accessible, and for the price it’s a comfortable, affordable option for families or business trips.

Breakfast is pretty standard, with Indonesian choices, though it’s nice to eat while looking out at the pool. The Wi-Fi was fast throughout the building. The room felt a bit small, but it was clean, tidy, and polished, with standard amenities. I liked its simple, slightly rustic feel. A good budget place in the city.

The location near the old town is convenient, and the counter staff were friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi worked well in the room, and breakfast had a fairly generous selection. Still, the cleanliness needs serious work. The toilet bowl hadn’t been cleaned, so I had to ask staff to scrub it. There were water marks on the mirror and taps, the shower head had unpleasant brown stains, and the soap hadn’t been replenished. The towels that were meant to be white looked dingy and smelled stale, as did the pillows. I couldn’t tell if the pillow covers had been changed after the previous guests. The air conditioner was also very noisy. For a relatively new 2-star hotel, Amaris @Muara Bungo doesn’t seem well maintained. There isn’t much competition right now, but another new 2- or 3-star hotel could easily draw guests away. They need to improve the cleanliness to live up to the 2-star image.
