The food was a real highlight, everything tasted great and was served so nicely. The staff were the friendliest we’ve ever met, always smiling and bringing such positive energy. The rooms were spotless, peaceful, and a very high standard. We’d absolutely recommend staying here while visiting Munduk. Thanks so much for making us feel so welcome! ❤️

We ended up visiting again on our way back from Pemuteran, which says a lot. The place sits right on the main highway, and it’s handy for the four waterfalls, with the twin lakes not too far away. Even in April, the weather was really misty. Mr Lilik helped arrange a scooter for getting around, and the owner was accommodating. Nita, Kendran, and Eva were lovely at the restaurant, helped us choose breakfast, and suggested nearby spots to see. There’s plenty to eat at the hotel restaurant, plus the Botanical garden restaurant is just a few steps away. One of the best places we stayed in Munduk.

The staff were warm and professional, and they even brought breakfast to our room. It was well above the usual hotel breakfast. Still, we had a mixed stay, with a number of things that need attention. We’d arranged an early check-in in advance and had confirmation, but the room wasn’t ready when we got there. The biggest hassle was the hot water: filling the tub took ages, and the water kept turning cold after 10-20 minutes before heating up again. It was hard to relax with that happening. When we first raised it, there wasn’t a real fix. We asked about compensation and were offered 25% off massages, which didn’t seem fair for the problem. After more discussion, we did reach a resolution we felt was more appropriate. There were other small annoyances too. The room only had two outlets, there was no toilet brush, the hand soap was empty, and the bathtub dispenser was broken. The sliding door was warped and hard to open, and the mosquito net wasn’t very clean. Better upkeep and a more proactive response to concerns would have made a big difference.

The jungle setting is hard to beat, and it still has all the comforts you’d want. I even got to take a warm bath under the roof while a tropical storm passed outside. The staff were so kind and flexible with my diet. Such a lovely stay, I’d recommend it in a heartbeat.
