Guru Ratna Homestay

I felt so calm and at home here, and wish I’d booked a few more days. The family were especially kind and helpful, always greeting me with a big smile. The location worked well for hiking and was relaxing, with a cute little garden and a nice view. I enjoyed the food too. Thanks so much!

The balcony was a lovely, peaceful spot for yoga, and you can catch the sunset from there. It’s a beautiful Indonesian homestay with welcoming staff. My room felt comfortable and homey, and the shared bathroom for two rooms was very clean. There are two restaurants on site, with reasonable prices and amazing desserts 🥰. Breakfast is included, with eggs, fruit, and coffee or tea.

The hosts were welcoming and helpful, and the location was handy for bike rentals and restaurants. My room was clean, spacious enough, and had a comfy bed and a hot shower. There was no air conditioning, but it stayed pleasantly cool. I did hear a bit of noise from outside, so it wasn’t completely quiet, though it was easy enough to tolerate.

I stayed in a small historic house that’s been beautifully kept, right in central Munduk, with lots of cafés and restaurants around. I didn’t feel the need to eat elsewhere, though. The restaurant’s food was the best I had in Munduk, made with care by the owner’s mother and wife. The rooftop sunset views were amazing too. I’ll definitely come back!
