Umah De Madya

BIMA was our private driver and guide, arranged through the homestay. He was AMAZING, spoke very good English, and was an easy, lovely young man to spend two days with. There’s a picture of Bima included here! The hosts were friendly and so helpful, and the husband speaks English very well. Breakfast was generous and good. The room was fine, though there’s no separate shower, so the whole bathroom gets wet. It’s a wonderful budget option and extremely inexpensive for Westerners.

We were a family of four and stayed three nights. The hosts made us feel at home right away, they were incredibly friendly. Our room had a balcony with a great mountain view. It was a little small for two adults and two children, but that wasn’t a problem since we spent most of our time on trips or eating and drinking on the rooftop terrace. We’ll always remember celebrating New Year’s with Ketut :)

The rooftop bar and restaurant was such a great place to enjoy the mountain view and chat with the owners and staff. The room was spacious, with an amazing mountain view from the patio. Hiking trails to the town’s many waterfalls are just a few minutes away. This was my favorite place to stay in all of Bali. I wish I’d stayed longer, maybe next time 😄 Thanks for everything!

The family treated us like their own, so it felt warm and comfortable, almost like being at home. Our first stay at Umah De Madya was amazing: the room was clean, cozy, and just right, and the rooftop had a beautiful view of nature. If I get another chance to visit Munduk village, I’ll definitely come back. I highly recommend staying here. Thank you to the wonderful family 🤗❤️
