The staff were so kind and polite, and the resort sits beautifully among the greenery. We came on a recommendation and were really impressed. I wish we’d had more time to stay. I’ve even started promoting the place in my own small way :) I wouldn’t hesitate to book it.

Being close to Borobudur Temple added a cultural side to our visit. We came with lecturers and friends for discussions and small group activities, and the quiet surroundings helped everyone focus and reflect. The sessions felt productive and engaging. Our rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a lovely traditional touch. After the academic work, we could unwind in the green, peaceful setting. It made for a nice mix of learning, time together, and relaxation.

Surrounded by paddy fields, this little boutique resort is only a short walk from town. The modern Javanese design is tasteful, and the rooms have comfortable beds and roomy ensuites. Breakfast was a la carte, delicious, and offered plenty of choice. There’s also a divine Buddhist monastery about ten minutes away on foot, well worth seeing.

The rooms are lovely, the staff are amazing, and it’s good value. Indonesian food is delicious, so eating at the hotel is a great choice. There’s plenty to do beyond Borobudur too. Western breakfast choices could be better, though, and the amount of water left in the room each day was far too limited.

The team really made the stay, so attentive and friendly that we felt at home. The peaceful setting feels close to nature, and the location is handy for lots of Borobudur attractions. Our room was clean and spacious, with an elegant mix of modern and traditional design. The service felt five-star to us, so I’m not sure why Amata Borobudur Resort is rated three stars. Thanks for the hospitality and for making the trip memorable. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the hospitality of the people of Yogyakarta 😉
