The location worked well for the Mount Bromo tour, and the staff were helpful during my short stay. Still, I wouldn’t choose this place again for the same trip. The rooms were very cold. I don’t expect central heating here, but they could make some provision for visitors who aren’t used to this kind of cold. The blankets smelled, and I didn’t find them clean. Hot water was advertised, but it didn’t come on by itself. You have to ask staff to turn it on, and even after they tried, the water was too cold for me to shower. The rooms really need some kind of heater.

We came for a three-day volcano trip and enjoyed the stay as well. The service was very friendly, and there’s a nice viewpoint nearby. The room could do with some refreshing, though.

The tour guide was brilliant, really informative and chatty, and the breakfast was good too. I’ve forgotten his name, but he was 20. We booked the Mount Bromo and Ijen tour here, and it was run perfectly. At sunrise he took us to the volcano instead of the viewpoint, which turned out to be the best choice. Nobody else was there, and the sunrise was beautiful, while the viewpoints were completely packed with tourists. The rooms were cold, but the location was perfect. I’d definitely come back.

Arthur was amazing at organizing everything we needed and replying quickly. The location is great for hiking King Kong hill and visiting Bromo, and the warm water worked. Jeeps pass the entrance around 2:30 in the morning, so you’ll hear them from the front room. Earplugs made it fine for us. The accommodation itself was dirty. The bedroom smelled bad, and there was a 1-2 cm layer of dust and garbage under the bed. No insects apart from a few spiders in the entrance hall. There wasn’t a trash bin in the room or restroom. Most of the staff didn’t seem to care, just smoking or looking at their phones.
