OYO 1378 Tengger Indah Homestay

After 12 hours of travel, we got to the hotel at 17:00pm and found out it was full. We had booked through Agoda, but they had dropped our booking without telling us, so we had to find another place. I don't understand why this happened when we weren't even late. The customer service was awful. Don't risk traveling all the way there only to have your room given away.

I called to confirm the Agoda booking and was told everything was fine. But when I arrived to check in, the hotel asked for more money than the app price. It felt like a trap and left me feeling cheated. Very disappointing!!!

The village center location made getting around easy, and the view from the front door was nice. I booked on Agoda and stayed three days. The bed felt cheap, and you should expect no hot water for showers. I don't plan to return.

We paid half the fare upfront for what staff described as a private car, even though it cost twice the outside bus fare. At check-in, we had seen a shuttle to Outer Mangsan and asked about a private ride. The staff said it was his friend's car and that it would take us to Probolinggo at 10 am each morning, then to Outer Mangsan. When we later asked the owner to check the train for us, he wouldn't help and said his phone couldn't make calls. He kept insisting he'd paid the driver and booked the car. The 10 am bus didn't show until 11, and the driver we'd seen was gone. They put us on a bus with no destination listed. The driver then told us he hadn't been paid. The guesthouse kept our 300K IDR. They also offered to arrange one-way motorbikes for 150K per person, which we turned down. The bikes along the way cost only 20K each. Please don't book here.
