The hotel is beautiful overall, but some parts are starting to feel old. The deal we got was fine. If I’d paid more, I think I would have been a little dissatisfied.

The rooms were spacious, clean and bright, with complete amenities, and plenty of them have twin single beds. The hotel also has a large parking lot, an escalator to the upper level, a spa and restaurant on site, two communal pools and a shallow pool for kids. The associates were friendly, it’s suitable for events, and there’s a dolphin tour pickup and drop-off point at the property. It sits between central Lovina and downtown Singaraja, both less than a 10-minute drive away, so you can enjoy two different atmospheres without travelling far. The second restaurant is closed, and there aren’t many dining options within walking distance. Highly recommended.

Puri Saron Hotel makes Grab and Gojek drivers wait for guests to come out and collect food orders, since they aren’t allowed to leave deliveries with security or reception. It’s a frustrating rule for drivers who can waste time waiting while guests are still in their rooms. Other hotels typically let drivers leave orders with the desk if guests aren’t available, so this policy feels outdated. Given the hotel’s otherwise good reputation for service, I’m surprised it hasn’t been reconsidered. A change could make things easier for both guests and delivery drivers.

The hotel connects directly to the ocean, so the scenery is good. It’s owned by a local family, and I found the stay quite comfortable. The place was clean, though the bedsheet didn’t smell very good. The hot shower worked fine, but the Wi-Fi wasn’t okay on the third floor. The pool had a strong smell of cleaning liquid. They serve a buffet breakfast when all the rooms are occupied. I only had that on one morning; on the other two days, the choices were limited to fried rice, fried noodles and bread.
