Saputra View Bromo Homestay

The location seemed ideal for catching a little sleep before sunrise, but staying here turned into a frustrating experience. After reaching Surabaya, I couldn't find the address because all the property's information had disappeared from Agoda. When I finally arrived, staff said it was closed for a celebration, though they did check me in. They could have told me and canceled the booking beforehand instead of leaving the information unavailable. On top of that, staff giggled and mocked the way my name sounded after learning it. I've never been treated that disrespectfully before. I wouldn't choose this place again.

After biking across the sea of sand, I just wanted a hot shower and a comfortable bed, and that's what I got. The room and toilet were clean, check-in was easy, and I could watch the sunset over Bromo from my window while keeping warm under a blanket. There are plenty of warungs nearby for a quick dinner, and Seruni Hill Parking Space is about a 15-minute ride away. I enjoyed my stay.

The location was great and service was good, though the room could use more cleaning and maintenance.

The room felt brand new, with a nice design and a view of Mount Bromo from the window. We also had clean sheets, a lovely bathroom, and hot water. We stayed last night, and it was better than we expected. The door could use an adjustment to make it easier to open, and this morning the hot water took a few tries to come through.
