We had a peaceful stay at this beautiful beach resort, with no kids around during our visit. The pool is massive and genuinely deep, and the rooms are huge, from the living area through to the balcony and bathroom. There are direct steps down to the beach. The sand is a bit rocky, but the water was perfectly warm. Before swimming, it’s worth checking local sea life safety, since we’d heard about sea urchins on beaches further north. Service was among the best I’ve experienced. Check-in went smoothly, and they offer 24-hour room service. Thirty minutes before breakfast closed, staff called to ask if we wanted anything and offered to send free fruit and coffee. At the pool, a monkey tried to grab our food, but staff were right there to shoo it away before it became a problem. Some activities didn’t work out. Free water sports weren’t running because of safety concerns, so we tried the complimentary bike tour. The tires were flat, the gears stuck in second, and the guide didn’t speak English, so we didn’t learn much. Wi-Fi was very slow and unsecured. I could actually see and control other guests’ Chromecasts. Between that and the poor bike maintenance, it’s 4/5, though the quiet atmosphere and great service still made for a good stay.

The hotel was quiet, with no noisy tourists, and it was lovely to sit on the balcony with a beer and enjoy the peaceful time. We were choosing between Hilton hotel, 5 min away, and Hotel Ulu Segara luxury suites & villas. I’m glad I picked the latter. The room was huge, with a stunning ocean view, and the staff were welcoming, accommodating, and fantastic.

We picked an ocean-view room, and the view was mesmerizing. The hotel had an amazing, relaxing feel, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The food was good, though as vegetarians we found the options limited. The staff made extra efforts to customize meals for us, which we really appreciated. One of the best stays we’ve ever had, and we’d love to visit again.

The ocean view room made the stay especially enjoyable, and the property itself is beautiful. Breakfast had a good selection, too. Staff were attentive throughout, with the bell driver being particularly helpful. I had a relaxing, pleasant time at Ulu Segara Resort.

We spent the final part of our honeymoon trip here. The views were stunning, and the huge bedrooms were really comfortable. The staff were lovely, and we had a great experience overall. The food was the one letdown, pretty average and disappointing. Having a scooter meant we could head out for lunch or dinner whenever we wanted.
