Bale Lumbung Bungalows

We'd stayed at Crystal Bay several times, including just behind this place on our last visit, so we thought we'd give it a try. The location is central, the staff are friendly, and breakfast was okay. The rooms were clean, but we couldn't sleep well before about 9:30 p.m. because of the noise. The bed was a problem all night: both long sides of the mattress had sagged, so we kept rolling out. The outdoor shower is a nice idea, but the floor around the stones was so mouldy it turned my stomach. It looks like the concrete hasn't been cleaned, and the mould is getting into the walls. There are better places in crystal bay, try them instead.

The team were so kind and attentive. Thanks again for making us feel welcome, we'll come back! The restaurant does good breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the banana pancakes were great. I picked this place because I wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful. It's down the hill, within walking distance of Crystal Bay, where there are lots of warungs, sunbeds, snorkelling rentals, and a beautiful sunset. Our room was clean and spacious, with a nice shower, and the pool was right in front of our bungalow.

It's surrounded by forest and very close to crystal bay. The room was okay, and the shower water was cold, as it is across Nusa Penida. Breakfast was good and dinner was great, especially the incredible spring rolls. We also booked a tour with their driver and were happy with the experience.

The pool is great, and the beach is very close if you have a bike. The soundproofing isn't very good, though, so you can hear noise from neighboring units.
