De Vindra Resort

The people here were so lovely and welcoming, and the food was amazing. The room was tidy and clean, and the bed was really comfortable. I had the best sleep! I'd highly recommend staying here, and I know I'll be back.

The yogurt fruit bowl at breakfast was absolutely delicious, so try it if you get up in time. The views are beautiful, especially the one facing the volcano. You can catch bits of both sunrise and sunset too. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived, and the peaceful atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and relaxing feel made this a place I'd gladly stay at again. Highly recommend for a visit to the area.

The steep slope took some getting used to, but it wouldn't stop us coming back. We chose De Vindra Nusa Penida because it was near our dive school, and the cute restaurant on site meant we were happy to eat in. The hill is a workout on the way up, though heading down is easy. Great value, with stunning views. We stayed a couple of days in March 2026. The resort, which opened in May 2020, felt fresh and inviting. Our room was nicely furnished, with a super-comfy bed, crisp white linen, soft fluffy pillows, a fridge, tea and coffee maker, TV, and efficient air conditioning. Just mind your shins on the bed corner! The private balcony had chairs and a table and lovely sunrise views. The spacious bathroom had good shower pressure, but we had cold showers for two days. It may have been because our late arrival meant the hot water had run out, and we forgot to tell staff. No big deal, though. Purnami was a standout, very helpful, chatty, and keen to please.

The property sits on a steep slope, so getting around is limited and the reception is on the top floor. Going to a lower floor means heading downhill. The ocean view from our junior suite was excellent. The owner upgraded us to the suite because of my wife's knee problem. The staff were the highlight, especially Par and purnami. They were polite, helpful, and supportive. Breakfast was average, with limited choices for vegetarians, and the air conditioning could have been better.
