Bring a flashlight for the walk back at night, since there’s no street lighting on the island. A pleasant black sand beach for snorkeling is about 30 minutes away on foot. It’s peaceful and the service is good, but the location does mean preparing for the logistics. There can be noise from chickens from around 2 a.m. and geckos, so earplugs may help. The structure is airtight, though some daylight still gets in, so a sleep mask might be useful.
