Green Valley Bungallow

We arrived on Nusa Penida almost two weeks ago, and we’ve really loved this hotel and its welcoming staff. The whole place is surrounded by greenery, with ocean and banana grove views. The rooms were very clean, the breakfasts were delicious and filling, and the hotel is in a beautiful location. I’m so glad we chose to stay here and highly recommend it.

We liked it so much that we kept extending our stay. It’s a peaceful place with incredible ocean views, a fantastic pool and rooms that were always kept perfectly clean. You can order a good breakfast too. One tip: taking the coastal road makes getting to the hotel much easier.

Breakfast comes straight to your room, and the staff are really kind and helpful. You also get amazing sunrise views. It’s away from the busy areas and mostly peaceful and quiet. Getting there is very difficult unless you have a powerful bike and can handle steep hills, narrow paths and sharp curves. Even cars struggle with the climb, and their tires have burned. There’s no Grab or Gojek service on Nusa Penida, only local taxis, which cost more if you don’t ride a bike. The property is right across from a temple, so expect loud music and noise every night, even after 9 p.m. If you’re a light sleeper, it can be really hard to rest.

The place is cozy and has a stunning view. The girl at reception was really lovely and always ready to help. The road in is a little narrow, but we managed fine on our scooter. We’ll come back.
