Gadjah Mada University Club

I attended an event in the hall here, and the food was delicious. The meat they served was especially juicy. Since the place is inside Gadjah Mada University, it’s very convenient if you have business at UGM and need somewhere to stay.

It was clean, though the building was older than I expected and this isn’t a luxury hotel or restaurant. There’s no elevator, so you have to walk to your room. Staff would help carry you on the way to the room, but not on the way back.

I really like staying here. The room is clean, comfortable, and feels homey, and the hot water works well. I love the hospitality too, the staff do their jobs properly. There’s a Circle K about a seven-minute walk away if you need to buy something. My event was at the psychology ugm, so this hotel worked perfectly for me. I could just walk there and didn’t have to pay anything extra to get there 👍🏻 Hope things go well for both of us. See you very soon.

I stayed at UC UGM Hotel while traveling in Yogyakarta from 28 April 2025 until 2 May 2025, and it was a very nice experience. The atmosphere felt fine, and being there brought back memories of the past. This place used to have a cozy cafe (?) managed by Mrs. Winoto (Madame Prof. Winoto), with a grand piano in the corner. It was very good, though unfortunately I didn’t hear it being played. The food is cheap, but the taste needs to be improved again and again. Even so, I recommend coming back.
