Jun Cottage Nusa Penida

Everyone at Jun Cottage was lovely and caring during our stay. They helped us rent a bike and arranged a car to the pier. The restaurant across the way was so good that we ate there three times. Breakfast was great too, with the best scrambled eggs we've had in Asia!

The cottages were beautiful inside and out, and I found no downsides during our night at Jun cottage. I expected there might be lots of ants and mosquitoes, but there were quite few, and using a good mosquito repellent was enough for me. It's only a ten minute drive to Nusa penida port and 10-15 minutes to beaches like crystal bay. The host was exceptional and arranged a scooty to get around, plus a cab back to the port, at a much better price than we found in the market. There's an in-house restaurant, and other restaurants and marts are only about five minutes away by car.

We only had three days here, but it was such a lovely stay. The family running the place were warm and thoughtful, even bringing us fresh fruit and helping with our bags when we left for the port, without charging us. The room had a comfortable king bed and desk, and we could look out over the natural surroundings from the bungalow. Hot water worked well. Crystal and Gamat Bays are close for snorkeling, and the port is around a 7-9 minute drive. Breakfast came with the room, and the banana pancake is worth trying. We'd happily stay with this family again.

The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, and the building looked just like the photos, only better in person. It’s a quiet part of the island, good for relaxing, with snorkeling about a 10 minute ride away. Toya Pakeh and the main supermarket and bank are around 10 minutes away too. We ate at the local Warungs and had no problems. I spent 10 nights at Jun Cottage with my 4 year old son, and the staff made the trip feel special. Ms Kadek was so welcoming, and I’ll remember her lovely breakfasts and coffee. Everyone was kind and helpful throughout. We loved the architecture and the air conditioning, and we’d definitely come back.
