RR cottage

We ended up extending our stay by two nights. The grounds and pool are beautifully maintained, and the family, Ayu, weka and putu, were incredibly kind and helpful. It’s great value for the money, with a hearty breakfast and a beautiful pool. The bathroom is a bit outdated, but it was clean, so it works well for both budget and mid-range stays.

We only spent two nights at RR Cottage and regretted not staying longer. The owners run it as a family, and they were the friendliest people we have ever met. They booked our speedboat both ways, arranged a massage for my wife at 10 pm with no notice, and were always there with advice. The breakfasts were tasty and generous enough to fuel a full day out. It’s a beautiful place with a nice pool, lots of flowers, and an incredible Balinese atmosphere. Everything was clean, neat, and tidy, and there was an adorable doggo too. It felt like a real experience rather than a commercial hotel. The location worked well for exploring, since most of the interesting places are in the southwest of the island. Diamond Beach is on the east, but it took us about 60 minutes to reach by motorbike. The value for money was incredible. We loved RR Cottage and highly recommend it. We wouldn’t look for anywhere else on Nusa Penida.

We booked a snorkeling trip through the staff, and they also sorted laundry and a taxi back to the harbour. We rented a scooter through them at a good price, too. The location is convenient, about 15 minutes from the harbour, with a really good Warung right across the street. Our simple room was clean, the pool area was nice, and the staff served a great breakfast on our porch each day. There was no mosquito net, but mosquitoes weren’t an issue for us. Two very cute dogs live there as well. We’d definitely come back!

A few minutes from the port, with good restaurants nearby, this place has a wonderful location. Breakfast was tasty, and both the rooms and pool were very clean. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making it feel like home.
