Kubu Sental Cottage

We arrived during a peaceful stretch, and the room was quiet and comfortable, just right for relaxing. The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly, which made the visit even nicer.

We only stayed one day, but liked the accommodation, especially the two floor bungalows. The pool, breakfast, and scooter rental were all good. What really stood out was how the owners helped us catch our ferry. We’d booked a 16:30 ferry through them, with a taxi waiting at 15:30, and had gone to see beaches in the morning. Around 13:00, we were heading back from the beach when the heaviest rain I’ve ever seen started. We got stranded quite a way from the accommodation. My bike stopped working, maybe water got in somewhere, so my friend went to tell the owners what had happened. They sent a taxi to get us and our luggage. We reached the ferry ten minutes before it sailed. We’d had to leave the bike somewhere, and the taxi driver took the keys back to the owner. I’m sure somewhere else I’d have been held responsible for the scooter and missed both the ferry and the plane afterward. We’re very grateful. The owners left us with a positive experience, and we wish them all the best.

The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Our villa was noisy beside the chickens and road, so they moved us as soon as another one was available and didn’t charge us for the first night. They also helped buy tickets and book taxis. The pool was clean and nice, and the grounds were looked after daily. It’s a peaceful spot away from the busy areas, good for relaxing by the pool. You have to drive at least 30' to reach any attraction, though. There’s a small restaurant in the cottage area, but I didn’t like the food. Breakfast was poor, although the sunny upside down was delicious. If you want to stay in, it’s handy, but I’d drive five minutes into town.

The rooms and pool looked stunning, and the price was very reasonable. The staff were welcoming and happy to sort out whatever we needed, from breakfast to taxis and scooter rental, and they suggested places to see around the island. Thanks so much for having us.
