Ocean Terrace Suite and Spa Luxury

At resort-like prices, I expected basic upkeep, but the leaking basin pipe and bed that shook with even a slight movement made the room feel poorly maintained. Service was just as disappointing. There’s no room service, they wouldn’t bring a beer to the pool, and staff were rude and unhelpful when I asked for assistance. It felt as if they didn’t care whether guests had a good stay. One of my worst stays in Bali, and definitely not worth the money. I’d look elsewhere for a comfortable, welcoming place in Nusa Penida.

The receptionist who greeted us was warm and nice. After that, the experience was bad: most of the staff were rude and unprofessional, especially Puttu. They ignored us when we asked for water. The room had poor lighting, no hot water and power points that didn’t work.

There are two hotels with similar names, which can make online booking confusing. The listings for Sea blue and Ocean terrace can be easy to mix up if you compare photos of the ocean view from the terrace with Sea blue. The Sea blue rooms are good, its pool is bigger than the one at terrace, and the restaurant is also above Sea blue. They’re only one road distance apart.

The waves were lovely to fall asleep to, and the Ocean Terrace Suite was a really relaxing place to stay. The whole hotel was impressively clean and felt fresh and well maintained. The receptionist was welcoming, helpful and always ready with a smile, and the service made everything easy. Highly recommend if you want to unwind by the ocean with great service.
