Saren Villa

Budi and his wife era made me feel safe and welcome throughout my two months at Saren Villa. When I got really sick, they brought me soup and arranged a medical appointment and a pickup. I’m very grateful to them and wish their family all the best 🙏🏼 The room was huge and had everything I needed: hot water, AC, plenty of drawer space, and consistently great Wi-Fi. It was quiet, too. I didn’t use the kitchen much, though cooking is possible, and there’s a fridge. Compared with other accommodations, I found the place prettier and my room much bigger, especially for such a generous price. There are a few long-term guests, so if you can get one of the rooms, act quickly :) Cute food places are within walking distance, and Budi can arrange a scooter rental.

Breakfast comes to your own little terrace, with pancakes or eggs and fruit to choose from. The staff are very friendly, and they cleaned our room every other day. It’s a quiet spot away from the main road, but restaurants and dive shops are less than five minutes away on foot. The guesthouse is lovely, with large, comfortable, clean rooms, good AC, and a warm shower. I’d recommend staying here.

The room was very clean, and the location was good, close to the ocean. We rented scooters here. The middle-aged man, maybe the owner, was helpful and spoke some English. The younger guy was friendly and tried his best, though he didn’t speak English. It’s just off the main road and should be quiet once construction finishes. For now, they’re building behind the villa, so it’s noisy from about 7:30 to 5. It looked like the work might be done in around a month. Roosters also woke us at 4am. Between them and the construction, it was hard to get a good night’s sleep. Wi-Fi was fine for most things, but not great for Netflix.

The rooms seem newly built, and ours was spotless with no bugs. We also had some of the fastest Wi-Fi we’ve experienced in Bali, which was a surprise. Caring staff, too. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re coming to nusa penida!
