The only real positive for us was having a clean room and bed. The location listing is deceptive: because of construction at the harbour, you have to walk from a busy main road along very narrow, muddy roads. Roosters and other animals all around can be disturbing. I added pictures showing the route and how we had to carry our suitcases. The whole area was disappointing, not just this guest house, and we wanted to leave as soon as possible because we didn’t want our holiday to start this way. The owner messaged that the port would be built after 6 months. I wish that had been written somewhere so people booking could get a clear picture and make an informed decision.

I made an honest mistake when booking and messaged them directly to cancel, but the booking wasn’t refundable. I didn’t get any help at all. I won’t book with them next time I go there. Their customer service deserves this bad review.

Ayu was really friendly and helpful, and her husband took me on a fantastic tour around the island. The room was very clean, the wifi strong, and the bed comfortable. It’s right by the harbor, so it’s super convenient to walk over and meet up for tours. Great people, great stay. I’d definitely stay here again.
