The Sankara Beach Penida

I really enjoyed my stay at The Sankara Beach Resort Penida. The staff were always friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with a smile, and check-in and checkout went smoothly. The location has beautiful ocean views and a peaceful feel, great for relaxing. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the resort grounds were looked after and had a relaxing vibe. The restaurant food was delicious, with a good range of options. I highly recommend it for a comfortable, memorable stay in Nusa Penida and would love to return.

The staff helped us sort out scooters, taxis, and activity recommendations, so getting around was easy. Sankara Beach Resort is close enough to everything while still feeling quiet and private. The pool and beachfront were peaceful and picture-perfect, especially for sunsets, and I really didn’t want to leave. The food was fresh and tasty, and not overpriced like at many island resorts. Breakfast portions were generous, and the coffee was great. My room was immaculate, spacious, spotless, and so well designed it felt relaxing right away. The bed was insanely comfortable, the AC cold, and the bathroom modern and luxurious. Waking to the ocean sound just outside was next level. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like family and were warm, helpful, and genuinely caring throughout. It’s a rare blend of luxury, comfort, and island soul. If you’re visiting Nusa Penida and want views, good vibes, service, and comfort, book it. You won’t regret it. I’d absolutely stay again 🙌🌴✨

The beach view was good, breakfast was good, and the local staff were friendly and doing their best to make guests feel welcome. Still, the value was poor. I paid $300 for two nights in December rainy season, and that felt extremely expensive for Bali, especially for a place presented as a four-star hotel. The stay didn't meet the quality I expected. I had booked a Deluxe Beachfront Room, but slept with mosquitoes, wasps, and other bugs, and there was no soundproofing at all. Before the trip, I asked the hotel to arrange a taxi. They quoted 250,000 IDR for a 2.1 mile ride, while drivers at the port, already known for overcharging, were asking 120,000 IDR. It came across like they were trying to get every possible dollar from me. There were other problems too, but the main point is clear: the high off-season price promised a better experience than I actually got. If you care about value for money, look elsewhere.

The team were warm, professional, and attentive, always ready to help, and made me feel welcome throughout. My room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. The resort itself is peaceful and attractive, right beside the beach, with lovely views. Cleanliness, service, and the small details all felt to a high standard. I had a memorable, relaxing stay and would gladly recommend Sankara Beach Resort to anyone coming to Nusa Penida. I plan to return.
