Tinggian Hill Retreat

We spent four days in this lovely quiet place. Every morning we could see the ocean and the island of Bali. The terrace was great for breakfast and for evenings with friends. Wiki was a kind, friendly host, and it was a pleasure talking with her. You can ask for breakfast early if you’re heading out to explore, or a bit later if you don’t need an early start. We were very happy with our stay.

Vicky is such a lovely person and helped us with whatever we needed. She even made breakfast extra early so we could dive or explore the island around sunrise. The pool was perfect and clean, and there are some fantastic Restaurants a 10-15 minute drive away. You’ll need a scooter or other transport, but then it’s a great base for exploring the island. The rooms aren’t the newest or fanciest, but they’re clean, perfectly fine, and have everything you need. Honestly, this was one of my favourite hotels on our trip.

The hotel was our favourite on the trip. It’s quiet and relaxed, surrounded by nature, with big spotless rooms, a great pool, good wifi, and a very friendly manager and staff. It’s a little way from the sea, but easy to get there by scooter. Breakfast is simple, though you can order extra for a small cost.

The rooms are spacious and good, but the location is far in and too remote. There’s no restaurant, so getting dinner means dealing with the mountains and dense forest to reach somewhere far away. Be careful about what you’re choosing. The AC is 1 ton and can’t cool the whole room. Even on power chill at night, you still sweat and can’t sleep. The WiFi is very poor and only works sometimes, basically unusable. There’s only one young staff member, and he doesn’t understand English.
