The staff were kind and helpful, and the hotel has stations for refilling water with either hot or cold water. The pool is 1.2 meters deep, though it gets too hot in daylight and could use more shade or umbrellas. There’s a shuttle bus you can take around IKN or beyond it as far as the rest area. There’s only one way for cars to enter and leave, so be careful.

From the outside, the rooms look like they’re built from stacked 20 ft containers, which makes for a distinctive design. There’s a 24hr restaurant in the hotel, with a Sundanese restaurant and an Alfa Mart convenience store next door. The hotel is about 1.5km from the presidential palace. Our room was spacious enough for two or a family with little children. We could hear corridor noise and nearby doors slamming, though, so the room insulation isn’t the best.

The suite had a nice room and a comfortable bed, but nowhere to put clothes properly. There’s no wardrobe and very few hangers, so it’s confusing where to leave your things. Breakfast was okay, though the selection felt limited.

The look is really cool, and the idea of building a hotel out of container boxes feels unusual and amazing. Five stars!
