I got to the hostel at 4 am after traveling all night, and had nowhere inside to wait until check-in at 12.00. I’ve never had to stand around on the street like that before. Really bad.

The shower didn’t work, so it was just a bucket. There was no ventilation, and the fan barely helped. The room got stuffy and hot at night. It’s below basic.

On a budget? This is a good place to stay. You won’t get misled here like at other hostels in Padang, so feel free to pay and come.

The only part I liked was the book reading spot. My room got changed to a capsule, and the boss didn’t care, apologize, or offer compensation. The staff weren’t there when I asked for towels, and their appearance was unkempt. They were careless and rude, and I was treated badly. Worst place I’ve ever visited.
