Mimba Private House

A handy place to stay if you’re taking your scooter on the slow ferry in the morning. There’s parking on site, a minute from the port, down a quiet road. It has the usual amenities, including aircon, a hot shower, a pool and WiFi.

There’s a swimming pool and a big table between the two rooms where you can hang out. A very nice lady let us leave our backpacks and motorbike there while we were in nusa penida. The place itself was lovely, but we didn’t sleep properly because of the baby crying.

The staff were really friendly, and the location was quiet, though a bit away from the main beach. That wasn’t a problem with a scooter. The toilet setup was badly designed, built into the shared room with open walls, so everyone could hear and smell you. There was no toilet paper either.

The family were always ready to help, including with transport, and the pool came in handy. It’s a lovely family home, though some repairs are needed. Be aware it sits up a steep hill. Grab bikes aren’t easy to get there, so the walk can be strenuous and may be unavoidable.
