When I checked in early in the morning, the receptionist seemed greedy and dishonest. I was quoted far more than the online price, then pushed to pay cash. When I asked to pay by bank transfer or with the EDC machine, she acted as though she didn’t know how to use it. I had to insist and teach her how to operate the machine. The room I got had already been checked out by someone else, and there were no towels, soap, or toothbrush. It made me think that if I’d paid cash, the money might have gone into her own pocket, since the room was recorded as already checked in by someone before me. Nauzubillah, she came across as ugly and greedy.

For the price, it’s a great deal. The room gets hot during the day because the AC doesn’t do much, and the key is fiddly to open, turning around and around. You can also hear everything in the neighboring room; there’s no soundproofing.

It’s peaceful and the room was fairly clean and tidy, with hot water and a bed big enough for two, though not especially large. Towels, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste were provided, but there was no trash can. There was a cockroach in the bathroom when we arrived, but it disappeared later. The bathroom also has no ventilation. For 100,000 Rupiah, it’s a decent transit stay while waiting for a flight at SMB Airport. Still, the app listed 100,000 Rupiah, but at the hotel we were told the standard rate was 130,000 Rupiah and asked to pay another 30,000 Rupiah, despite a sign in the room saying to book through the app for a cheaper price.

One of the better budget hotels near the airport. The rooms are great, the service is good, and the app worked smoothly. I liked it.

I was just passing through on my way to SMB airport, arriving at 9 pm and leaving at 7 am. The toilet wasn’t working. Please get it fixed.
